Launch of the Q3/2024 Legal Newsletter

Recently, effective from July 1, 2024, the Law on Citizen Identification No. 26/2023/QH15, the Law on Valuation 2023, and Decree No. 52/2024/ND-CP on non-cash payments have officially come into force. These laws and decrees bring about several benefits for digital transformation and align with current societal practices. Some highlights include:

• The official discontinuation of the current ID card from January 1, 2025;
• Expansion of eligibility for ID cards (including individuals under 6 years old, under 14 years old, etc.);
• Addition of prohibited acts in the field of valuation and appraisal for specific groups of subjects;
• Prohibition of entrusting or delegating to other organizations or individuals the activities permitted under the Payment Service Provider License.
